As Dick Cole, the leader of Mebyon Kernow, the party for Cornwall, writes a column in the Cornish Guardian focussing on Trident, focussing on it as wasteful use of resources, Roslyn Cook [World Court Project] has forwarded news of a national and international development:
INLAP and the WCP invite those who believe that any use of nuclear weapons would be a War Crime to go to www.nuclearweapons-warcrimes.org and sign an online Affirmation.
Another invitation is to consider voting in the Australian Red Cross campaign, supporting their call for humanity to prevail and demonstrating there is a groundswell of united public concern about the horrific effects of nuclear weapons. Please spread the word by forwarding this request to friends, family and colleagues to encourage them to vote today at www.targetnuclearweapons.org.au.
These votes will be placed on the international stage later this month, when all Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement representatives will meet in Geneva. They will use the results of the campaign vote to demonstrate there is a groundswell of united public concern about the horrific effects of nuclear weapons.
