A ray of hope in dark times

Najib Mahmood’s Non-offensive Defense Strategy Research Project 

As matters go from bad to worse with the news that civilians have died, allegedly in a Nato air strike on Tripoli, our support for defensive defence policies has been boosted by the discovery of research published in 2008 – well after the hiatus following the NoD  ‘popularity bubble’ of the 80s and 90s. 

In 2008 Najib Mahmood, United States Department of State, completed his dissertation Non-offensive Defense and Nonviolence Response to Terrorism, whilst studying for a Master of Strategic Studies Degree at the U.S. Army War College, which is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education.
